Completion Requirements 

To successfully complete the course, students must:

• Score 90% or higher on all module and workshop assessments 
• Attend the required skills workshop 

The course is self-paced, but completion within 4 months is expected. Extensions may be granted for special circumstances.

3. Once approved, schedule your Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) online or at a local testing center 

To become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), you must meet both state and national requirements. Most states require that you first apply through your state board of pharmacy. This preliminary application typically includes a background check and provides a temporary license or registration number, allowing you to begin working as a pharmacy technician while you complete your training. Our PTCB-approved online program is designed to prepare you for the national certification exam. If you're planning a long-term career in this field, becoming nationally certified as a CPhT is an essential step.

• Duration: ~2 hours total (includes tutorial and survey) 
• Delivery: Online proctored or at 1,400+ Pearson VUE testing centers
