Lab and project you are currently working on: Projects I’m currently working on include looking at forgone prescriptions during the Covid-19 pandemic in Colorado, Semaglutide compounded products marketed for weight loss, and modeling the cost-effectiveness of preconception care visits for medication management offered to women with Rheumatoid Arthritis in childbearing age.
Random Fact: I’m fluent in Arabic, French and English. Currently working on my Spanish.
Hobbies/Interests: Doing Colorado things, like visiting a lama farm.

Lab and project you are currently working on: My interest in neurodevelopmental toxicity led me to join Dr. Manisha Patel’s lab where I’m currently characterizing a novel neuron-specific Scn1a knockout mouse model to study the role of principal neurons in Dravet Syndrome.
Random fact: I’ve snorkeled in a fissure between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates!
Hobbies/Interests: Outside of the lab I enjoy spending time with friends, playing tennis, oil painting, and thwarting the evil plans of my two diabolical cats, Checkers and Toast.
