When Sandra Leal was growing up in Nogales, Arizona, her family depended on pharmacists across the border in Mexico for medical care. Today, Dr. Leal,PharmD, MPH, FAPhA, CDE, has devoted most of her career to helping underserved, low-income patients access quality health care from pharmacists.
Neemat Srour, a spring 2020 PharmD graduate, has lived and worked all over the world. From earning a Master’s degree in France to working as a hospital pharmacist in Saudi Arabia, she has grown an international career with a major goal in mind: one day expanding the profession of pharmacy in Lebanon, her home country.
"Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane”. . .No, it’s a pharmacist. Class of ‘68 alumnus, Rod Palmieri, is no stranger to facing challenges. So, when the chance to volunteer for the Jackson County Oregon, Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team (SAR) presented itself, he jumped at the opportunity. Really ... he did jump.
