We CU Scholarship

CU Pharmacy values the unique experiences and attributes that each of our students brings with them to the classroom, and ultimately to the communities they will serve as pharmacists. The We CU Scholarship is awarded to three incoming first-year PharmD students who are committed to serving underserved or underrepresented communities.

Award amount:

$5,000 per year of the 4-year PharmD program ($20,000 total award)


Application Deadline:

May 1, 2025

Award Criteria: 

Applicants must be admitted entry-level PharmD students for Fall 2025 and will be evaluated on the following:

  • Short essay   
    • Demonstrated financial need
    • History of service and leadership
    • Other experiences that have contributed to your road to pharmacy, such as work, shadowing, research, volunteering, etc.

Application Requirements:

  • Scholarship Application
  • Resume or CV that highlights the experiences that have led you to pursue pharmacy school and have inspired you to serve underserved or underrepresented communities. These experiences might include, but are not limited to: 
    • Volunteer, service, and leadership experience
    • Pharmacy, healthcare, and other work experience
    • Research experience
  • 300–500-word essay that answers the following two questions: 1) How have your unique experiences shaped you as an individual? and 2) how will those experiences influence the way you approach your role as a pharmacist?
All applicants are encouraged to submit the FAFSA if eligible. If there are financial circumstances that are not captured in the financial aid application, applicants may provide additional information and/or documentation for the review committee to consider.
