Dr. Blackmer is the Director for Clinical Practices, Quality and Advocacy at the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) and an Adjunct Associate Professor or Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has over ten years of clinical experience having previously practiced as the clinical pharmacist at the Special Care Clinic at Children's Hospital Colorado, a pediatric primary care clinic for children with medical complexity (2014-2021) as well as the pediatric surgery inpatient service at the University of Michigan (2010-2014). Her passions include pediatric intestinal failure, parenteral nutrition support, the pharmacotherapy management of children with medical complexity, management of sleep and self-injurious behaviors in children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, and pediatric pharmacotherapy. Dr. Blackmer currently teaches in the PharmD program, with a focus in nutrition support topics as well as clinical problem solving skills.
