Dorie Hoody PharmD, Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy

After graduating from pharmacy school at Mercer University in Atlanta, I moved to Denver to advance my pharmacy training at the University of Colorado Hospital. Here, I completed two years of residency from 2000-2002 with the second year focused on Infectious diseases. Subsequently, I worked at the CU School of Pharmacy on faculty initially as an HIV researcher and then moved to the Clinical Teaching Track within the school. In 2016, I was invited to establish clinical pharmacy services for UCHealth Seniors Clinic at their Lone Tree location and since then have worked with the Seniors Clinic team at Lone Tree or Anschutz. Currently, my role is to establish and collaborate with CU Medicine faculty and provide clinical pharmacy services at the CU Medicine Geriatric Clinic in Cherry Creek, located at the Kavod Senior Living Center. My primary responsibilities include medication reconciliation after hospital discharge (Transitions of Care) and collaborative practice disease state management including diabetes, hypertension, and osteoporosis.
