2026 Colorado Protein Stability Conference

Protein stability is important in numerous disciplines, ranging from fundamental and applied protein biophysics to basic and medical biochemistry to pharmaceutical sciences. However, it is rare that researchers from all of the relevant areas can join together to discuss the critical issues in the field in a more relaxed setting. Since 1994, Colorado Protein Stability Conferences have provided unique opportunities for this exchange of information. The topics that will be covered during 2026 Conference include: protein structure, thermodynamic stability, folding, and dynamics; stability of viral vectors; protein aggregation; engineering protein therapeutics; protein-excipient interactions; characterization of protein particles and new advances in processing of therapeutic proteins.

The scientific sessions will consist of plenary lectures by leading researchers from both academia and pharmaceutical industry. In addition, contributed papers will be presented during a half-day poster session with ample opportunities for young investigators to network and discuss their research. To foster exchange of information, attendance will be limited to the first 200 registrants.

The registration fee covers conference registration, abstract booklet, breakfast and lunch each day, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, and opening and closing receptions with buffet dinner and beverages.

There will be a poster session for contributed papers on the morning of Wednesday, August 5. This session will allow for further discussions of the critical issues.
Abstracts should be prepared on a single page with one-inch margins, and should include the abstract title, list of authors, affiliations, contact email of the presenting author, and the abstract text. Black and white figures can be included, but the entire abstract should be within the one-page limit. Abstracts will be reproduced as received for the proceedings of the Conference. Abstracts should be submitted online no later than July 3rd, 2026.

The Center for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and the Conference Sponsors are proud to sponsor this competition to promote excellence in student research. The cash prizes are: $1000 for the winner, $500 for first runner-up and $250 for second runner-up.

When submitting abstracts online, students should indicate that they wish to enter the competition.
