Debbie Gallegos PharmD, BCPS, CPPs 2019-2025

Dr. Gallegos is a people driven pharmacist with a drive for the human connection in every interaction. With a background in rural hospital pharmacy, she comes to the University with a history of wearing multiple hats and dealing with limited resources in a smaller community setting. Debbie uses positive people interactions to drive accountability and learning. She enjoys helping mentor students and preceptors alike in pharmacy and leadership. She shows how those come together for patient care and interdisciplinary success. 

Debbie is a Colorado native and was born and raised less than 4 miles from the University of Colorado Anschutz Campus. She returns to her Alma Mater and where she grew up with a fresh perspective on rural pharmacy practice. 

At the CU School of pharmacy, she is focused on experiential education and sending students out to various practice settings with our renowned preceptors to help students apply thier didactic knowledge to patient care practice settings and beyond. She is committed to the next generation of pharmacists up and coming, who will keep advancing our profession forward in the state and nationwide.
