Dr. Madison Ricco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She earned her PharmD from the Skaggs School in 2022 and completed the institution’s first Academic Fellowship in 2025, where she focused on educational research, curriculum development, and teaching. During her fellowship, she led and contributed to projects exploring artificial intelligence in pharmacy education, student attendance and engagement, and programmatic development.
Dr. Ricco previously worked on drug delivery research in Dr. Tom Anchordoquy’s laboratory, where she investigated alternative oral dosing strategies for traditionally intravenous chemotherapies. She remains passionate about integrating clinical pharmacy perspectives into basic science research to help bridge the gap between bench and bedside.
In her current role, Dr. Ricco teaches across the PharmD curriculum and contributes to ongoing efforts in practice readiness, bridging foundational and clinical sciences, and artificial intelligence in pharmacy education.
