Medicinal Chemistry Core Facility

Medicinal Chemistry Core Facility

Mission

Our mission is to provide comprehensive support for medicinal chemistry, encompassing both small molecules and biologics, to advance innovative molecular tools and lead drug therapies toward clinical translation of investigational new drugs for clinical development.

Overview

The Medicinal Chemistry Core Facility is open to working with researchers in both academia and industry to identify biologically active small molecules to advance their understanding of disease models and the underlying molecular mechanisms. We work closely with the HTS/HCS and Pharmacology core facilities to select the most promising hits from initial screens, execute their multistep organic synthesis and development into lead molecules for further structure-activity-relationship (SAR)-guided lead optimization.
