I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, in Dr. LaBarbera’s laboratory. I have been awarded with a Margarita Salas fellowship from the Spanish government to do research in a US university for two years. My work focuses on the study of mechanisms driving epithelial mesenchymal transition in breast cancer and its inhibition by compounds targeting CHD1L. I obtained a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2021, in which I developed metastatic colorectal cancer models and studied the antimetastatic effect of protein-based nanoparticles targeting the CXCR4 receptor. From my doctoral thesis I authored 10 papers published in peer review journals.
